Chakra - Halo Yoga
What makes the Chakra – Halo Yoga Series unique?
As per research in alternative medicine, halotherapy has been shown to reduce anxiety, depression and mental lethargy. This is made possible due to the release of negative ions – the same charged molecules one finds in natural habitats like beaches and waterfalls.
What makes this class series unique from other yoga or meditation options is the multiplier effect or double benefit of practicing within a halotherapy room.
While the chakra yoga and meditation techniques will aid in the release of ‘prana’within the body, participants will also be able to aid their bodies in faster and more efficient absorption of these negative ions throughout the class.
The end result? A happier and glowing you, from the inside-out 🙂
What is Chakra yoga and meditation?
Chakra philosophy spans a written history of more than 2,000 years in ancient Indian wisdom. It is believed that yoga was conceptualised using the chakra philosophy, with the goal of balancing both the mind and body.
As a junction of energy, thoughts, feelings, and the physical body, chakras have been called “focused energetic life-forces.” There are believed to be 7 chakras.
Just like our internal organs have specific functions—such as the heart pumping blood through the body—the chakras are thought to have physical functions.
When all the chakras are in perfect balance, there is a free flow of life-force or ‘prana’ within the body that helps us reach optimum health and is also linked with emotional well-being.
Other ancient Eastern traditions including Pranayama, Qigong, acupuncture and tai chi also focus on this flow of energy or ‘prana’.
Through the sessions, all participants will learn how to maximize the flow of energetic life-force or prana to maximize their health and well-being, both physically and mentally.
